Perry O'Shaughnessy, Diana Palmer and Nora Roberts I read all three authors. I like them all in different way. PO is detective/lawyer type story. Very entertaining. DP writes romance. She has a formula. Some are very poignant and good reading. NR is very good with series about family. I love her MacKade brothers, Chesapeake series and a whole lot more! I love THREE FATES. Start with that. I thought it was great. **************************************************************** Some luck lies in not getting what you thought you want but getting what you have, which once you have got it you may be smart enough to see is what you would have wanted had you known. --Garrsion Keillor

I really enjoyed the MacKades series. Nora Roberts is one of my favorite authors. I would also recommend Single title: Birthright The Chesapeake Bay series: Sea Swept Rising Tides Inner Harbor The "Born in" trilogy: Born in Fire Born in Ice Born in Shame The Jewels trilogy: Jewels of the Sun Tears of the Moon Heart of the Sea As others have said, Nora Roberts is fantastic at portraying family relationships, especially among siblings. The beauty of Nora, besides her wonderful characters and charm, is that she has written so many books. You can go on reading forever without having to wait till the next book comes out. I agree that the Chesapeake books are wonderful and the Born in series, and I also love the Stanislavski (?) family series altho I still want the book about the professional baseball player that is Kate's brother. But I understand her contract has run out on those so I guess it will have to exist in my head. I love the single title ones too, especially Birthright and Montana Sky and River's Edge because it's local to me. I have Northern Lights and plan to read it this weekend or Thanksgiving weekend for sure because I know I will want to read as much of it as possible at one time. Of course the JD Robb books are greatly entertaining too, altho darker. |
